Jim Sener - Partner & Creative Director
Jim draws from 25 years of product development experience. His passion for design means that he involves himself totally in the creative process, from initial discovery to manufacturing transition, both domestically and in Asia. Jim oversees the creation of product, packaging and brand language programs. Jim is a hands-on designer and actively engages in conceptualization, product design, ergonomics and usability.
Chicago Athenaeum, BusinessWeek, IDEA (International Design Excellence Award) and Appliance Design (Excellence in Design) have all recognized Jim with design awards.
Dave Mathieu - Partner & Engineering Director
Dave founded Ideaz in 1999 with Jim Sener. He has a BS in Mechanical Engineering and has 18 years of product design, engineering and manufacturing experience. Dave performs a multitude of product development functions such as concept development, product design, analysis, DFM and FMEA. He is adept in managing development teams, as well as internal and external engineering resources. Dave is responsible for program management, from the initial concept to the factory floor.
Dave also directs supply chain activities, including manufacturing, sourcing, logistics and engineering, in Asia and in the U.S.
He is the recipient of numerous awards from Chicago Athenaeum, BusinessWeek, IDEA and Appliance Magazine.
